Short Term Exchanges
Danish "Job swap" for senior school management
The target group are New Zealand primary and secondary senior educators (Principals, and Deputy and Assistant Principals) who travel to Denmark, and homestay with a matched counterpart, while going with them each day to their work. It is an exercise in comparative and reflective education and general professional development. Denmark is chosen because of its similarities to New Zealand in terms of a very community-oriented and decentralised education system, yet within a European culture that is very different. There is the advantage that the Danish people are very multi-lingual, and all participants and most of the staff in a Danish school will be conversant with English. The New Zealand participant returns the hospitality within a year.
Who can apply from within New Zealand?
