JENESYS Programme
(YOUNG JAPANESE LANGUAGE TEACHERS DISPATCH PROGRAMME) in association with the Japan Foundation and ILANZ
Schools are invited to apply to host a Japanese assistant teacher for ten months from late January 2010 to November 2010. Two assistant teachers are available to be hosted but each school can only host one assistant teacher. The assistant teacher will ideally work within a cluster of schools within the area to maximise benefits of the programme. One school will have responsibility for overall coordination
The Japanese assistant teacher would support the teaching of Japanese language, working with individual teachers and students or small groups, team teaching and sharing their knowledge of Japanese culture. Preparation of resources and contribution to improving the local teacher’s language proficiency would also be part of their role.
Salary, living expenses and travel costs are met by the Japan Foundation.
